Overview: An uncharted island in the Pacific has made its way onto the radar of a group of scientists who want to explore and record their findings.
Once the scientists assemble a group of soldiers and a journalist, they're off to explore.
Little do they know, they're entering the habitat of King Kong and several other unbelievable creatures.
The music was entertaining and there were a handful of very funny parts. I liked the 60's vibe and felt that it added another touch of "cool" to the movie.
Also, there's a character in the movie, who once I saw, I immediately groaned, but they ended up playing one of the best roles in the movie. I never expected this person to be in a more serious film, but he did great.
Lastly, watch to the end of the final credits for a special scene...
What I didn't: In my eyes, this film is more visually appetizing than thought-provoking. It's a monster movie, not the next Academy Award winner for Best Film. The story line was lackluster at best and could have used more development.
Also, Brie Larson, was absolutely dreadful. Watching her, was like wearing a wet sock; uncomfortable and nearly nauseating.
