Overview: The girls are back for the fourth installment of the hit Netflix-original series, Orange is the New Black.
Between the original cast and newcomers, there is more tension within Litchfield than ever before.
This season proved to be the most intense yet, and if you haven't finished your binge, what are you waiting for?
What I loved: Wow. All I can say is wow because I'm still speechless after finishing up the season. This season finale was probably the craziest season finale I've EVER seen. I watched in shock and horror as some serious shit went down. The tears streamed down my cheeks without pause even past the last credit. Seriously, if you haven't finished watching, stop reading this post right now and go turn on your TV.
Not only is the intensity on point for this season, but the story lines and acting are phenomenal as per usual. I think this season is the best yet, because I feel more important issues are brought to light including mental health, drug abuse and racial tensions in our country.
Also, some of our favorite characters return, while some leave us possibly forever. Some characters will piss you off beyond words, cough cough Piper, and some girls will touch your hearts with their stories.
As always, I love how Orange is the New Black features "normal" women and doesn't glamorize prison (too much).
What I didn't: In my opinion, this season was the darkest and most intense season yet. It was also the best season thus far which led me to watch the episodes faster than I had planned. I wish Netflix would only release an episode a week so we'd have less time to wait until the next season. I have no clue how I'm going to manage waiting for next summer to come especially after 4's season finale...
