Type: Television Show
Release Date: February 3, 2017
Episodes: 10, a half hour each
Overview: Sheila and Joel Hammond live in a nice suburban neighborhood with their teenage daughter, Abby. The Hammonds live a seemingly normal life, Mom and Dad are real estate agents and Abby is your typical bratty teen.
However, their lives become anything but ordinary once Sheila acquires the taste for fresh meat, literally.
It's Dexter meets Warm Bodies... kind of. It's an addicting comedy and it's really effing weird. The characters are wonky and completely lovable. Sheila, Drew Barrymore, is hilarious, but definitely won't win Mother of the Year.
I binged Season 1 in two sittings because every episode was better than the last. I already can't wait for Season 2!
Please keep in mind, though, this is a mature Netflix Original with adult content. I wouldn't watch it with young kids.
Santa Clarita Diet is the zomedy of the year and a must-see!
What I didn't: I thought at times, the graphic scenes were a little too over the top. They were funny, don't get me wrong, but I beg of you, PLEASE DO NOT EAT WHILE WATCHING THIS SHOW!
