Trainwreck is the perfect rom-com that both men and women will fall in love with instantly.
What I Liked: Just a few minutes into the movie, I was laughing hysterically to the point of tears. It’s been a long time since I could say that, but Trainwreck is by far one of the funniest movies I’ve seen in years. And, it’s not like most comedies, where the funniest scenes are in the trailers. No, Trainwreck will keep you hunched over in laughter throughout the entire film.
Amy Schumer, comedian, plays Amy and she is absolutely perfect. Her crude, sarcastic humor is amazing and I admit, I’m now completely obsessed with her. Amy kind of reminds of me Kristen Wiig who is also another one of my favorites.
She also reveals a serious side, and proves that she is a talented serious actress too. Aaron, the “good guy”, is played by Bill Hader (Superbad, Knocked up and SNL). Bill is always hysterical and he doesn’t disappoint in Trainwreck.
Are you a sports junkie? Then Trainwreck is the movie to watch. Aaron is a doctor for professional athletes and Lebron James has quote a role in this movie. There are numerous other pro athletes featured as well.
As we all know, most comedies have a “sad” plot-twist which usually takes away from the comedic aspect of the movie. Luckily, Trainwreck keeps the laughs coming even throughout the sad parts.
What I Didn't: I only have two complaints with Trainwreck. The movie seemed to be a touch too long at 125 minutes and although Bill Hader was funny, I thought he might be a touchier funnier. He seemed a little thin and worn down, but nonetheless, he was still great.
